THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Tuesday, May 7 is Palmetto Giving Day!

On this day, 50+ non-profits who serve Georgetown County will be asking for donations from their supporters during this 24 hour period of online fundraising.

For Hugs for Horses Therapeutic Riding Program....

...this day is its  biggest single fundraiser; in the past, providing about 25% of the the years' budget to offer the healing power of horses at no cost to the riders' families.  This year our goal is to raise $30,000, just in this one day!  To do this, we will need the help of all our ambassadors...those of you who know the program and have seen its impact!   If you fall into one of these categories: are the family of a current or past rider, a volunteer, a donor, a teacher whose students have benefited, or are just a big Hugs' fan,  could you help us meet our goal, just for this one day?

Before we tell you how you can help, know that...

  • because Hugs shares the facility, staff, and very importantly, the amazing horses with the Georgetown Equestrian Center, and
  • because Hugs' has the help of its friends in high places:  its amazing volunteers and the people of its umbrella organization, the Georgetown County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, who all give their time and effort to our riders, only asking for their hearts to be filled with the joy of seeing a special needs child or adult thriving...

...Virtually 100% of everything raised goes DIRECTLY to putting a child or adult with disabilities on a horse!
